Types Of Models

The type of show being produced, the targeted audience, and the merchandise selected, will determine the category or type of model to be featured in the show. The models selected may fit into various categories such as junior, mature, or sophisticated high fashion.

Models fit into various speciality markets in today's fashion industry. fashion show production may require a variety of different specialities or emphasize just one type. This depends upon the type of show and audience. speciality groups include male, children, junior, Missy, petite, plus size, senior, and high fashion.

Since the 1960's, when interest in men's fashion received a boost, male models have become important to the production of fashion shows for the male trade market as well as in consumer shows. male models can offer a strong appeal to a consumer- orientated show featuring women's and men's wear.
