Thinking... About the roles

After a few days of thinking I have come round to the thought of being the show producer of the show. Its is an area where I want to work in once I have finished my degree. It is indeed a lot of work but I think I have what it takes to do this as I have had similar situations in the past where a team leader has dropped out and I have had to take over and pull the situation back together and create something positive.

there is a show producer/ location advisor
- tasks involved music coordinating, catwalk design, technical liaison, and the lighting for the show.-This for me is an exciting option for me. I have great ideas as what I would like to do for the lighting of the show. The catwalk design if put together right could have a positive effect alongside the music and a dramatic lighting set and backdrop.
-over see ticket design for the show- This is an option where we could use omnicrom as a 'holographic' feature. could offer front row tickets. front row tickets with goody bags. Fee??if there is a fee then what will the money go towards?
-securing an appropriate venue for the show.There are some great venues in Preston such as cocktail factory, Grasshoppers cricket ground, Preston North End, St. Georges shopping mall- if we did the show here I think we would have a better chance of getting ourselves promoted on the local radio stations and Lancashire Evening Post.
-finance- over seeing the costs of the show.- This would determine what the main cost of the show should go towards and determine what is most important to give the best features to make this fashion show spectacular.


The roles I would be most interested in is the model casting, hair and make up design and also the PR/ publicity/ sponsorship/ promotion deals.

Mainly PR as I have a few connections with radio companies and local businesses that may want to get involved such as Bolton FM, Rock FM and also Preston FM and could possibly get some promotional items from Thorntons Chocolatier as I work there and they may be willing to help. Lancashire Evening post could possibly do a print out in there fashion section in the run up to Christmas.  also posters could be created to be put up around the university and also around town and in shops to gain publicity.

Hair and make up design as obviously we would need to create a theme to go with the show depending on the style names and fashion trends we come up with. there are many good hair and makeup artist out there and i feel we should take advantage and go extravagant.

Model casting- as so many of us have many connections to models and not only that there is model agencies which are local and could possibly be willing to help.  the general public also like to get involved because lets face it. who wouldn't want to be a model for the day? but the task with this is we have to be ruthless and I think I have what it takes.
